The Company has established a Human Rights Policy in order to protect the basic human rights of our employees and create a workplace environment that fully protects human rights, we support and follow the spirit and basic principles of internationally recognized human rights protection, for example, the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights”, the “United Nations Global Compact” and the “International Labor Organization's Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work”, and we comply with the laborrelated laws and regulations of Taiwan to eliminate any violations and infringements of human rights, so that all employees can be treated fairly and with dignity. 


Control Mechanism

The Company implements its human rights policy based on the Company's operating items and characteristics and implements specific human rights control programs including measures to mitigate human rights risks and conducts related education and training.

  • Laws and regulations: the Company complies with all labor laws and regulations and international labor human rights principles to formulate its work rules and other related management methods and operating procedures. 
  • Education and training: the management department will provide training for new employees upon the expiration of their probationary period. The training covers antidiscrimination, anti-harassment, work hour management, and health awareness. The occupational safety training includes occupational safety and health, first aid training, to provide a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Communication channels: the Company has established the "Regulations for Whistleblowing and Appeal" to provide an effective and appropriate communication channel for all employees and to ensure the rights of all employees who wish to make suggestions and submit reports; in addition, the Company holds regular labor-management meetings to protect employees' right of collective bargaining and to promote a healthy and positive labor-management relations.


Management Procedures

The Company periodically reviews its internal human rights-related management rules and regulations to ensure that they are in compliance with laws and regulations. The Company also updates the procedures in order to continuously improve the human rights-related management and create a friendly working environment for all employees. The Company has
had no human rights violations or complaints for 2023.

Item Measures
Provide a safe and healthy working environment We are committed to building a healthy, safe and comfortable workplace in addition to complying with all labor laws and regulations.
  • The Company complies with occupational safety and health related laws and regulations and continues to improve the safety and health in the workplace. The "Safety and Health Management" regulations have been established in the project construction cycle, and the safety and health and other related education and trainings are conducted from time to time. Seven employees of the Company have obtained the certificate of labor safety and health administrators, and 27 employees have obtained certificates of occupational safety and health officers in the construction industry.
  • Check the item in the safety and health log formulated within the Company one by one for the safety measure inspections before commencing the construction every day, including 13 inspections such as general conditions and fall prevention, safety equipment inspection in construction areas, and fire prevention; the site patrol and inspection meetings are conducted every week to for check and audit. Among them, the MTS construction site inspection system developed and used by the Company and information vendor is able to integrate the daily environmental reports, self-inspection sheets, and audit forms in real time on computers and mobile phones, for tracking, prevention and improvement, to effectively improve the control of the construction site, construction quality, and labor safety and health.
  • The Company has taken the necessary precautions to prevent occupational disasters from occurring.
    • Medical supplies: medical kits are always available; AEDs are installed with adequate education and training.
    • Security measures: the Company conducts seminars and drills on firefighting issues in order to strengthen the awareness of fire and disaster prevention in the office building from time to time. We have installed security cameras in the dark corners and set up a surveillance system to ensure the safety of employees.
    • Environmental maintenance: air filters are installed. In 2023, office carpets were cleaned 12 times.

The Company has established "Procedures for Employment" to implement the recruitment, selection, and reporting standards to follow the employment principles in the "Work Rules." The Company shall not allow any reasons such as race, class, language, ideology, religion, party affiliation, nationality, gender, marriage, appearance, facial features or physical or mental disabilities to interfere with the employment process and decision.
Child Labor Prohibition We verify the age of applicants with basic information documents during the recruitment process and all applicants are over 18 years old, no child labor is employed.

  • The interview and appointment process of the Company follows the "Procedures for Employment". The Company will explain the working hours, work rules and regulations of the Labor Standards Act upon the arrival of the employee and then proceed with the subsequent check-in operations after the employee has given consent.
  • All labor services provided by the employees are in accordance with the law and do not involve physical punishment, physical or psychological abuse or coercion, intimidation, verbal violence, withholding of identification documents or any other form of slavery or coercion of employees to perform involuntary work.
  • The Company has established the "Regulations on Attendance" to regulate the working hours, vacations, overtime, absences and other kinds of leave for full time and contracted employees in accordance with the law.

  • Health checkups: we subsidize the cost of employee health checkups every year to ensure that the health of our employees is properly managed.
  • Group Insurance: the group insurance has been designed to provide employees with multiple coverage, including term life insurance, accident insurance, hospitalization and cancer insurance.
  • Clubs and activities: the Company provides a variety of club and activities for employees to participate voluntarily, as well as domestic and overseas employee travel and outdoor activities to promote the cohesiveness of employees' minds and bodies.


Compensation System

Compensation for our employees includes monthly salary, bonuses and employee compensation. The remuneration standards for employees are determined by the position held, academic experience, professional knowledge and market value; the employee's bonus and compensation are determined by the total amount allocated according to the company's articles of incorporation, the company's operating performance, the contribution of duties and the results of performance assessment for the year.
The remuneration of senior managers and department heads from Huaku Development, are related to the ESG performances, which accounted 10% of the annual salary. ESG performances including operation performance, quality and safety of the buildings, management of construction waste, product innovation, corporate governance and ethical management, talents training and management of supply chain. These are related to the ESG significant themes.


Employee Training

We have been nurturing talents by organizing regular internal training courses and fully subsidizing the cost of professional training courses for each employee to enhance their professional knowledge and skills and to help them learn and develop in their respective professional fields.


Employee Rights and Benefits

The Company provides employees with labor and health insurance as required by law. We also provide subsidies for weddings, funerals and childbirth (including wedding and funeral decoration), birthday gifts for employees and gifts or coupons for the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.

Retirement system: under the old labor retirement system, monthly contributions to the retirement reserve fund shall be deposited into the "Labor Retirement Reserve Fund Account" at the Bank of Taiwan in accordance with the law; under the new labor retirement system, the Company shall contribute 6% of the employee's monthly wages to the individual pension account of the Labor Insurance Bureau; for those who have voluntarily contributed to the pension fund, the voluntary contribution amount shall be deducted from the employee's monthly salary.

Employee shareholding trust: Pursuant to the procedures of implementation approved by the Company, and the charter of the Employee Shareholding Committee, a certain percentage of the monthly salary and annual bonus will be appropriated based on the individual appropriation as the Company's incentive funds.
